About the Neighborhood

Living in Gordonston

Gordonston was developed in the 1920s by W.W. Gordon II — Juliette Gordon Low's brother — on the family's former farm, and was listed on the National Register in 2001. The plan is a tidy triangular garden suburb organized around a resident-only park, with three concentric circles and original stone gateposts at the entrances.

Homes are 1920s–40s and range from English Tudor cottages to substantial Colonial Revivals on heavily wooded lots. Juliette Gordon Low herself never lived here — the name honors the family, not the founder.
