About the Neighborhood

Living in Isle of Hope

Isle of Hope is a National Register historic district on the Skidaway River. The Bluff Drive waterfront, beneath an oak-and-Spanish-moss canopy, is one of the most photographed streets in the Lowcountry, and the marina has been in continuous use since the 19th century.

Housing is a mix of 19th-century river cottages, Greek Revival and Queen Anne estates, and 1920s–50s bungalows, with a small amount of newer infill. The neighborhood is quiet, residential, and a 15-minute drive to downtown via Skidaway Road.
